The atomic lesson in the Botanical Garden of Almaty was held at the end of March by Gagarin schoolchildren from Talgar. We talked about nature and its protection; about biodiversity and anthropogenic impact on it; about the possibilities and “magic” of nuclear technologies that preserve the life of flora and fauna.

Love of nature, as a feeling for a person, for his family, for the city and Homeland... This line was continued by a meeting with V.A. Ognev, a veteran of the nuclear industry, who came from the Interregional Public Movement of Veterans of Nuclear Energy and Industry (IPMV MEI) to meet with the Organization of Veterans of Nuclear Science, Energy and Industry at the Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan (VNSEI RK).
The words of Vladimir Alexandrovich’s story took us back to the events preceding the birth of the industry, to the distant 40s, 50s and 60s of the last century for today’s schoolchildren.
A 4-hour lesson that spanned both the centuries-old history of mankind and affected youth and the youth of the older generation. Ecology as caring for nature – the environment, ecology as caring for one's thoughts, feelings and thoughts.
