The 17th meeting of Intergovernmental Commission on cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation has taken place today in Astana.
Kazakh Intergovernmental commission is headed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev, the Russian side – the First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov.
During the meeting they discussed the whole range of bilateral cooperation, including the field of fuel and energy complex, industry, nuclear energy, transport, agriculture and migration.
The Commission also reviewed the progress of negotiations on Kazakhstan's accession to the WTO and the current issues of the Eurasian integration.
The parties noted significant potential for enhancing mutually beneficial partnership, including in the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.
