Almaty hosted the III International Innovation School and Round Table “Energy, Water and Chemistry” organized by JSC “NNC “Kazatomprom” and its subsidiary “Institute of High Technologies” LLP. Representatives of the leading industrial and engineering companies, universities, research centers of Kazakhstan, Russia, USA, Great Britain, Japan and some European countries took part in the event.
- Today we talk a lot about innovations. “Kazatomprom” is one of few companies in the country, which established an efficient platform for discussion and development of new projects. The main task of the Innovation School is to become the communication support for development, training, networking not only among the enterprises of Kazatomprom, but also between representatives of foreign companies, – said Managing Director Yuriy Permenev, greeting the participants on behalf of the management of the JSC “NNC “Kazatomprom”.
Talking about the development of new technologies in the national nuclear company, Director of LLP “Institute of High Technologies”, Serik Kozhakhmetov said, that “innovations and the science are the main factor of competitive advantage. This is a guarantee of profit, which promotes strengthening the positions of the country and the company in the global market. Today we are trying to bring the nuclear energy, chemical technologies and advanced ideas in the field of environmental protection together with real production”.
The large innovative project of JSC “NNC “Kazatomprom” – “Creation of SMART-mine – uranium mine of next generation” became the main topic for discussion.
According to the head of LLP “Institute of High Technologies” Serik Kozhakhmetov, the implementation of the project will allow to reduce the prime costs of the products by reducing the operating and capital expenses, increasing of the efficiency of processing, increasing of energy and resource efficiency.
The innovation School took two days. Experts of international class have discussed the issues of new measuring devices in geology and radiation safety, small and large-scale renewable energy, the future and energy and resource saving technologies, methodical, metrological and certification support of uranium industry, production, processing and application of rare earth metals. Besides, there were reports on new technologies in the field of water purification and on the work of nuclear power stations of small capacity.
