Such a statement was made by the Minister of Energy Vladimir Shkolnik, during the press conference in CentralCommunications Service under the President of Kazakhstan.

As it is known, in oil and gas sector of Kazakhstan is acting the classification adopted in 2005, which, in turn, inherited the basic principles of such a system of the USSR of the sample of 1983. This classification is not recognized by any foreign exchanges, or international financial institutions. In addition, it does not always take into account the global economic changes such as the fall in oil prices.

According to the speech of Vladimir Shkolnik, to address this issue the Ministry of Energy will appeal to the international experience of the introduction of new assessment systems. "We plan to establish cooperation with the international organization «Society of Petroleum Engineers». Consultants SPE will largely assist to the development and implementation of the international system of accounting reserves in Kazakhstan. There will also be adopted the Codex of accountability SPE-PRMS in accordance with the SPE-PRMS template,” - said the Head of the Ministry of Energy.

Among the positive aspects of innovation Vladimir Shkolnik called the integration into the international community, through the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative and the recognition of the new financial system by the Exchange sectors. It will introduce the criteria of economic efficiency of development of deposits, depending on the dynamics of changes in energy prices.

"The implementation of the above measures will improve the investment climate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the exploration and production of oil and gas," - concluded the Minister.
