On May 26, 2016 a meeting of delegation from the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan with senior management and leading specialists of National Research Center “Kurchatov Institute” was held in Moscow. There were discussed the issues of perspective scientific technical cooperation in nuclear science and engineering.

Kazakhstan delegation has visited thermonuclear facility T-10 Tokamak, Synchrotron Radiation Source Complex KISI, F-1 research reactor where research in various directions of modern science and technology are carried out.

The meeting participants shared information on main activity directions, tendencies of atomic industry and energy development in the world and also about main tendencies of atomic industry development in the Russian Federation and in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The senior management of NRC “Kurchatov Institute” particularly noted new tendencies in approaches to science, technology and education development in the country which are based on the principles of convergence of various directions of knowledge, synergetic approach and emphasizing the importance of natural like technology development in all branches of knowledge and technology.

The delegation of the ME RK provided information on main activity directions of RSE NNC RK and RSE INP as well as information on preliminary operations regarding to implementation of project on NNP construction in Kazakhstan.

In a meeting with senior management of NRC “Kurchatov Institute”, there were highlighted perspective tasks which have mutual interest for both Parties and they agreed to make maximum efforts for their quick addressing and implementation.

During the exchange of views, President of NRC “Kurchatov Institute” expressed interest in joining Kazakhstan to International scientific megaprojects where the “Kurchatov Institute” takes part and carries out the scientific guidance from the Government of the Russian Federation.
