December 8, 2015 Paris (French Republic) hosted a bilateral meeting of Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Vladimir Shkolnik with the Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus Andrei Kovkhuto. During the meeting they discussed issues of beneficial exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of waste management, remote research methods concerning climate change and hydrometeorological service, geology and WTO accession.
December 9, 2015 the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan V.S.Shkolnik attended and delivered a speech at the forum “Future Energy”, held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. The forum was organized by the Nazarbayev University in partnership with “NC “Astana EXPO-2017” JSC and the Kazakh Embassy in France. A welcoming speech was also made by the Secretary-General of the International Exhibitions Bureau Vicente Loscertales.
The forum was held together with the UN Climate Conference (COP21) and combined energy experts, senior politicians and heads of enterprises, multinational corporations and international organizations, as well as Nobel Prize winners and other eminent scientists and economists, who shared information “at first hand” concerning latest developments in the field of sustainable energy.
Besides, December 9 this year was held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Minister of Energy Ernest Moniz. During the meeting they discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the energy field.
