Director General of the National Nuclear Center of RK, Erlan Batyrbekov took part in the 6-th Fukui International Meeting on HRD for Nuclear Energy in Asia.
The organizers of the meeting were the Fukui Prefectural Government and the Wakasa Wan Energy Research Center (Japan).
The participating countries are Indonesia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam. IAEA representatives also participated in the meeting.
Within three working days from February 3-5, 2016, trends of nuclear power plants development in the world, nuclear power policy of the Fukui Prefecture, contribution of nuclear technologies to society development and economy have been considered.
Country reports on challenges and issues related to nuclear power programs development were presented; forms and methods for work with public on nuclear power development issues were discussed.
Technical visits to nuclear related facilities in the Fukui prefecture were also arranged for meeting participants.
