On July 20, the Ulba Metallurgical Plant is celebrating its professional holiday – the Day of Metallurgist. Today Kazakhstan economy is difficult to imagine without the developed metallurgical sector which is the basis for industrial production. Ulba’s personnel contributed much in this process. The enterprise’s products, export-oriented and in high demand in many developed countries, are supplied to many well-known world companies. The workers of uranium, beryllium, tantalum productions, and auxiliary departments celebrate this event by high professional labor. This was underlined by the Chairman of the Management Board of NAC Kazatomprom JSC V. Shkolnik in his congratulation to Ulba workers. «Ulba staff skills, experience, creative potential, professionalism and persistence in achieving goals are highly valued by the National Atomic Company». Best workers were traditionally awarded by the top management. Portraits of twenty workers were placed on the Honor Gallery. Ten people received certificates of merits. Over 80 workers received acknowledgement. – Rare metals of Ulba Metallurgical Plant are in high demand worldwide, advances of modern civilization have never been possible without them, they are valued for many unique characteristics. But in fact people have always been and are the major achievement of UMP. They are masters of their craft. They devoted their life to hard and honorable profession and passed love thereto to new generation of workers. They are writing today a new history of our enterprise, which is going to celebrate its 65 anniversary this year, – Yuriy Shakhvorostov, the Chairman of the Board of UMP, noted in his congratulation to the workers. On the eve of the Day of Metallurgist workers and veterans of UMP will gather together in Central Culture Center «ULBA». They will take part in the festival «UMP – a territory of talents», where colleagues and friends will show their artistic skills. Then, a traditional lottery will take place where winners will get gift certificates for household appliances and a super prize – a tour to far-abroad country.
