On 28-29 October, 2013 a meeting with Japanese experts from KyotoNeutronics Company was held at IAE office, Kurchatov, Kazakhstan that allowed discussion of topics to determine outlooks for joint cooperation in alternative atomic power development. The following main topics were covered: NNC RK plans for studies and engineering developments regarding thorium liquid-salt reactors. Cooperation with Japanese researchers in technological development of thorium liquid-salt reactors.
