According to the press service of the regional Akim the German company EcapSolution plans to build 6 solar power plants in Zhambyl Province until 2016. In particular, according to Akimat, the company plans to start the construction of a solar power plant for 50 MW in Zhualy district in 2014. The power plant is planned to put into operation in 2015. “In general, the investor of Zhambyl Province intends to implement 6 projects in the field of renewable energy IF-K), 3 projects in 2015, 2 projects in 2016. Each solar power plant will have a capacity of 50 MW”, – stated in a press release. Other foreign companies, working in the field of renewable energy, expressed a desire to build “green” power plants in Zhambyl Province during the presentation of “Solar energy with a capacity of 300 MW in Zhambyl Region” project. Amin Ajami, Director of StrandPartners company; Frishenshlyager Albrecht, UnitedGreenGroup Investments director; Marcus Hayes, EcapSolution managing director and representatives of Kazakh companies have met with Karim Kokrekbayev, Akim of Zhambyl Province, who took part in the presentation of the project. “During this meeting, the head of the region said that the regional Akimat would ensure the summing up of the necessary infrastructure within “Business Road map – 2020″ state program framework. It is planned that «SEBC «Taraz» JSC” would take part in this project, the initiators of the project also intend to cooperate with “KEGOK” JSC, – stated in the disseminated information. In general, the region is already under construction of renewable energy sources with a total capacity of 188 MW.
