On October 10, 2020, the Kazakhstan branch of the international organization "Women of the Nuclear Industry" (WiN Kazakhstan)* held an online webinar on the subject: "Search for relevant scientific information on the example of radioecological topics using the Web of Science platform."
The speaker of this meeting was Inesh Kenzhina, research scientist in the field of materials for fission and fusion reactors, PhD, specialist in scientometrics and training resources at Clarivate.
At the Saturday meeting, which has already become a good tradition of our women's atomic club, the audience learned how to get access to the verified and reliable scientific information for dissertations, reports and analytical work; how to choose the right scientific journals to publish the work? And, finally, what are modern scientometrics tools that help to organize and simplify the entire cycle of scientific work?
Most of the information was based on the analysis of radioecological studies in the world and the CIS countries. The audience was very interested in this topic that at the end of the speaker's speech, she was asked many questions, some of them related to the problems of radiophobia, authorship in scientific journals, online training modules and much more.
