On April 26, in Tomsk, the Association for “Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan” signed a memorandum of cooperation with Tomsk Polytechnic University. The parties plan to work on popularization of nuclear technologies, develop joint educational programs, and hold seminars and conferences.
The memorandum was signed by the director of the Association “Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan” Togzhan Seifullina and the director of the Engineering School of Nuclear Technologies of TPU Oleg Dolmatov.
«The main mission of our Association is to work to overcome radiophobia among the population, popularize science and natural sciences, for example, physics, mathematics, geography, and chemistry. Also, we are working on the execution of the instruction of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the training and education of engineering personnel, so necessary for our country. We understand that such work begins from the school, then covers students, young professionals. After all, this category of people in a few years will become the personnel who will come to work in the industry. Tomsk Polytechnic University was not chosen by chance. Your university is our good partner, we hold a lot of events together. One of the most recent is the annual seminar “Nuclear Potential of Youth”. It was held in December 2022, and TPU representatives took part in the seminar. And based on its results, it was decided to make our cooperation systematic and full-scale, because we have common goals. I am sure that we will succeed».- Togzhan Seyfullina, Director of the Association “Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan”.
During the visit to Tomsk Polytechnic University, representatives of the NSK visited the research nuclear reactor of the University, got acquainted with the laboratories and educational programs of the Engineering School of Nuclear Technologies.
