On October 2 – 6, 2019, the delegation from RSE INP had a business trip to Tokyo (Japan) to participate in the meeting with the senior management of ChiyodaTechnol Co. (CTC) for further development of cooperation between our organizations. In addition, the meeting was held with the senior management of the Japanese company ThoriumTechSolutionInc (TTS) on the project for experimental studies of the liquid salt reactor fuel (generation IV). The delegation of RSE INP included the General Director Kenzhin Ye.A., the Leading Researcher of the Reactor WWR-K Gizatulin Sh.Kh. and the Head of the Non-Destructive Testing Center Yermakov E.L.)
As a result of the negotiations with the senior management of CTC, the agreement was reached on the start of production of iridium (Ir-192) and cobalt (Co-60) isotopes for industrial application. The Contracts were signed off for the first stage of experimental development of the technology for Ir-192 and Co-60 isotopes irradiation for preparation of the commercial contracts for the isotopes export.
As a result of the negotiations with the senior management of the Japanese company ThoriumTechSolutionInc (TTS) on the project for experimental studies of the liquid salt reactor fuel (generation IV reactor), the agreement was reached on arrival of the representative of the company at INP to make preparations for contract signing-off for the first stage of works.
In addition, the meeting was organized with the senior management of the Institute for Advanced Radiation Research of the National Center for Quantum and Radiological Sciences and Technologies in Takasaki (Japan). The agreement was reached on development of bilateral cooperation in development of the applied radiation technologies.
