The CEO of Kazatomprom Askar Zhumagaliyev during his visiting session presented to the head of Samruk-Kazyna Umirzak Shukeyev The Situation Centre in a pilot mode. This project has been realized under aegis the transformation program.

The Situation Centre is an information system that monitors, analyzes and visualizes the key production and financial performances of the national atomic company, including all the subordinate enterprises.

“Today we have launched this tool in a pilot mode and already started to use it on our apparatus meetings. The system has more than 500 indicators for the separate companies and for the whole Kazatomprom. Moreover, it monitors not only for the current moment, but also in dynamics. Let’s say if someone does not comply with the plan, or for example, increases the amount of use of chemicals you can see it right away on the graphics shown. Therefore, this is a kind of a signal for us to take actions, - said Kazatomprom Chairman Askar Zhumagaliev.

The project enables to analyze data quickly to predict and simulate various scenarios to make timely and effective decisions. Among the main indicators of the Situation Centre are profitability, the EVA, net revenue, production volume, shipment, use of chemicals, labor productivity, etc.

Zhumagaliyev also noted that the Situation Centre would enable subsidiaries to decrease the number of their reports up to 3 times. It is planned that the Situation Center is scheduled to start its commercial operation until the end of this year.

One of the main sources of information for the Situation Centre will be a system called "Digital Mine" – yet another transformation project, which provides online monitoring of the uranium mining process, eliminating the human factor. "Smart" mine allows to collect and analyze information from appliances and equipment sensors in real-time, remotely monitor and adjust the amount of chemicals used in uranium mining. "Digital Mine" is supposed to be introduced at the “Taukent Mining-Chemical Enterprise” (ТГХП) until the end of 2016.
