Visit of the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) delegation in RSE INP in the framework of human resources development in the field of "Nuclear Energy and Radiation"

On the 20th of May, 2016 the RSE "Institute of Nuclear Physics" was visited by Yoshihiro NAKANO (General Manager), Hiroya YOKOYAMA (Engineer), Mayuka SHIMADA (Secretary) the JAEA Course Coordinators for the ITC courses: Reactor Engineering, Nuclear and Radiological Emergency Preparedness, Environmental Radiation Monitoring.

Mr. Hiroya YOKOYAMA provided the presentation about the current status of NPP in Japan.

Mr. Yoshihiro NAKANO described the program of instructors training (ITP), which includes the Instructors Training Courses (ITC), the Follow-up Training Course (FTC) and Seminars aimed to support the development of human resources in nuclear and radiations areas in the Asian countries. He reported about ITP activities in 2015 and 2016.

Deputy General Director of RSE INP prof. Burtebaev N. reported about the latest developments and prospects of the Institute in main activities and joint specialists training programs in nuclear science and technologies for the nuclear industry in Kazakhstan.

The participants discussed the issues of further development of instructors training program, and courses provision in Kazakhstan.

The agreement was signed off on further cooperation between JAEA and INP in specialists training for the nuclear industry in Kazakhstan.
